inspired

i painted this yesterday evening on our porch as the day got cool. it's alaska. haven't been inspired to paint in a long time. i was going to post this from my super nifty new iphone but it doesn't want to let me put pictures on here. we don't have internet or cable for the next week. i've managed to steal someone else's for the time being. but luckily gareth got our phones yesterday so i don't have to do that for long. i also managed to leave my phone in seattle the last day of our trip so it worked out quite well for us to have the new phones now. alaska was amazing. i absolutely loved it up there. i'll be posting my pictures hopefully soon. poor gareth got bombarded the second he came home with a few hundred pictures. he commented on how i had a big smile or a goofy looking face in every picture with me in it. said he could tell what a great time i had. i really did. we saw some awesome sights and i met some pretty cool people. it was great seeing my sister at the end of the trip as well. she has great insight into life and it's always nice talking to her about it. she said i should move to the west coast. i agree. tried to talk gareth into it last night but he's pretty overwhelmed with the upcoming move across town for now. i am too. i have a few days off this week but i'm working a ton next weekend. hopefully i'll have the beginning of next week to move before we're out the end of the month. i'm looking forward to getting into our new place but it's always a lot of work when you have to move. especially on a deadline. it'll be worth it though : ]
